I have tried a lot of little things on Pinterest through out the last year. I am a big person on forgetting to take a long the way photos and am truly trying to get better at it. Here are a few that I can remember and what I though of them.
1. Bathroom cleaner
http://www.23imaginaryfriends.blogspot.com/2013/08/how-to-clean-your-runners-shower.html?m=1
I was a little blah on trying this as I had tried some many different ways to clean my shower and nothing was helping. I decided why not all it say is to cover the shower in this goop and let it sit then wash off. Holly smokes!!!!!! I have not had my shower walls/floor this clean since we moved into our home 6 years ago. I now do this once a month and leave it over night and the first person in the shower gives it a fast scrub and bam done.
2. Oil pulling
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/429249408206050522/
Well this I just had to try and had no hope that it I would benefit from it in any. This I dragged my husband into with me. We decided to do 20 minutes each night before bed. The first night noticed nothing til morning. I didn't have that normal build up feel and my husband said my breath didn't smell as bad. How bad was my breath in the morning? To me this was a plus side of the pulling. We continued it for a few more days and continued to notice improvement to our teeth and gums. My husband has always had bad gums and has had to use special toothpaste. He noticed that there way not as much swelling and that his teeth also felt very clean in the morning and that he didn't have the headache he normally woke with. I would have to say that this was a good try and we do it from time to time but not on a regular bases like I would like to.
3. Boiling eggs

Who loves to peel boiled eggs? I know I can't stand it and anything to make it easier is on my to do list. Unfortunately this was not one of them. I did find out through a friend that putting baking soda in the pot while it was heating with the eggs does help. I have done this every time and it works like a charm. Did you try baking them? Did it work for you?
4. Lactation cookies (no they are not made with breast milk)
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/526147168938145606/
For all the breast feeding moms out there, these work like a charm! Really everything in them helps boost your milk supply and they taste amazing. I make a batch and do smaller portions and freeze some of them. I love how they taste and have even added things like crasenbarries, dark chocolate instead of milk, varies nut, upped the flax seed, and yeast. When ever I am feeling like my LO (Little One) is nursing non stop and that maybe my milk has dipped I wipe up a batch of these.
I hope you have enjoyed a recap of just a few things I have tried though Pinterest and hope you find the information helpful. Until next time!

Car Seat Safty
I can not stand it when I see a child in a car seat they don't belong in and I won't hesitate to say something. I see it all to often, parents move the child to the front facing before they are physically ready for it. Moving a child to front facing before their neck can stand an impact can paralyze them or worst cause death. Yes, I was once an uninformed parent my self and even moved my now 5 year old son into a front facing car seat way before he was even ready. I used the reason that his legs where too long. Which now I know is not a problem at all. I also have heard the reason I can't afford the rear facing bigger infant seat or they can't stand to rear face ( how does your child know what they don't like if they have never face forward?). There are a million and one reason why each parent parents. I am not here to tell anyone they are a bad parent or that they are doing it wrong. I just want to inform parents as much as I can, so that their little ones are safe for as long as they can be. Here is a link to a great site that helps inform you of what your child should be in.
http://www.safercar.gov/parents/carseats.htm
This is one of the biggest things I see when a parent places a child in the car seat. The chest piece is to be at the arm pit level and you should not be able to pinch any extra belt on the shoulders. When rear facing the straps are to be at or below the shoulders and once moved to front facing at or above the shoulders.
Another one that I see during the winter months is the big coats. If you don't understand why this is not safe take a moment and install your child in the car seat as you normally would then remove child without adjusting the seat and remove bulky clothing then place child back into the seat WITHOUT adjusting anything and see how loose it truly is. If you where to be in a wreck your child could projectile out of the car seat due to not having it properly tighten.
Here's the one that drives me CRAZY! The seat belt next protectors. If they did not come with the car seat they do not belong on the car seat. You can not get the straps close enough to the shoulders and you can not get the chest piece up on the chest high enough. Use a thin sock if you are that concerned about it pinching the next. Update: Adding a sock is still not recommend or part of any manufacturers manual and could possibly void the warranty on the car seat its' self.
I hope that this has informed you enough to re-look at how you put your child in the car and car seat. Make sure you read your manual as it has some very useful information. These are just a few that I see happening all too often and hope that it can change. Inform your self and become a car seat god. hound all your friends and don't be afraid to say something to a stranger the next time you see that their child may not be safe.

Parenting in all its not so glory...
http://mom-101.com/2014/05/women-who-fake-it.html
Here's a post all parents need to read. I love my kids and always dreamed if of having them. Hope this helps someone in need of a little eye opener!
Baby Wearing
Hello all parents. I am a baby wearing mama and i'm in love with it. With my second child I was introduced to baby wearing and wish i would have been introduced to it with my son 5 years ago! I own a a Moby (given to me at my baby shower) a Ergo and a DIY gauze wrap. My first go to is the Moby because I feel it really keeps my miss close and allows for me to do all the house work I want while she's sung. It's a stretchy wrap and the colors are amazing. Mine is the sea foam green. My his band will wear her in this because its not girly (his words). My second is the Ergo. It's great to take to the store or short walks because its no fuss. You snap it on and bam ready for baby. The Ergo can be for new borns all the way to toddlers. They also come in a wide varieties of colors and styles and have infant inserts along with belts extenders to adapt to bigger people. Then there is my DIY gauze wrap. I enjoy it and I'm still getting use to it as its a little diggy. It has very little stretch and I run int the problem of not being being able to get it tight enough. I am also not very experienced with wrapping yet (6 months down).
So there's my run down of what I have and why I love the investments I have made. I hope that more parents state wearing their babies because it so important to have baby close and it truly can calm a baby down in moments. Photo selfie- DIY Gauze wrap

Something about me
Hey everyone you'll have to hang in there while I get the hang of blogging! It's going to be a learning experience for everyone involved.
Here's a little about me and my crazy so called life. I met the man of my dreams while still in high school and married that man in 2007. We welcomed our first child (a boy) in 2008 and 5 years later in 2013 our second (a girl). I'm an at home mom while running an in home child care. I love kids even ones that are not mine :) Anything that can be considered crafty and or baking I love doing. Especially if its revolving around my kiddos. We love being outside weather it's a short walk around the block or out in the back hard working on the garden.
I believe that life is amazing and family is everything (even if its not the family that you were ken with). I love being a mom and all the downs that come with its title. Hope you enjoy all I have to share with each of you and pardon any misspelled words and punctuation!
